What about those Facebook Insights?
Today we're going to look into what do the “insights” that Facebook offers about your business page. What do they really mean? Let's take a look at our business page. We start to see insights just from the instant you open your page. It shows people we reached from the last 28 days is over a thousand. It's an uptick of 95%. Post engagement, that's up 51% and page likes are down 50%!
It's really not all that bad. Actually, it’s not all that good. But either way you don't want to really get bogged down on 1 month to the next month. What you should do is keep track of this every month. You do an excel sheet and you just add the numbers that Facebook gives you and then you start to see a larger graph about what's going on. You could watch it on a week by week basis, but I'm thinking your business doesn't give you enough time to do that. So let's just stick with the month insights.
Now as far as people reached, basically, what that means is our individual posts that happened in that last month, they went through the streams of over a thousand people, which is nice. Post engagement, though that's more important post engagement means these are ways that Facebook has a measuring that you liked it. You spent a little more time on it. You clicked on it. You commented on it. Engagements are key. You really want to see those numbers continue to go up. Then you've got page likes. That means that somebody saw one of your post and then said, "hey, I really like this. I'm going to go actually like their page.” You don't get a lot of them except for when you first start out and you invite all your friends to like your page. Then you'll get a bunch but otherwise they kind of trickle in slowly and as long as you're still getting some, more power to you! Please like 342 Mad's page now, I'd really appreciate that. :)
Let's look deeper into insights. It will default to a 7 day view, but we're going to go ahead and look at this and then I'll show you a little bit of the difference. When you see it for 28 day view. So page views you've got 2 people who saw it and, “hey. I'm going to check out their page” So they're not only seeing the post that just came through their stream, but they're now looking back and seeing some other post that we've done, which is great. It's down from last week but I'm not complaining. We're still getting more. Then we've got our post reach. This is just in the last week. We've reached eighty people and that's doing great. It's up 105%. Maybe it has something to do with our holiday card deal that we've got going on. Then we've got our post engagements, which we talked about earlier, that's people that actually interacted and your page follows. You've got the videos I don't even know that we put out a video in the last week, so the fact that we've got two video views. It's pretty good.
Responsiveness, this is the one I want to show you because this is different than what you'll see in the month. It's a good thing to keep an eye on because this is an algorithm that Facebook loves. So when somebody comments or asks something about your page/posts or sends you a message, the sooner you respond to it the better. Now we have 100% response. We did respond to everything that came through, but we're looking at our response time about a day and 5 hours. I need to pick that game up. So let's go from 7 days to 28 days. 28 days shows us we have more video or page views, which is great, but it's still doing the same percentage around fifty-eight.
We did a boost or two or "advertisement" of our post. So that's why we have the two different lines here. You've got your blue line, which is showing you what just naturally the people who follow our page did and then the boost shows you how much further it went out because we bothered to boost with it. It's got our video views, our engagement, page follows. Everything like that it does not though notice have the response time. So it's worth checking out both your week and your month, but don't feel pressured to check it out every week, but do feel pressured to check it out at least once a month or you can hire us. We're 342 Mad and we are happy to manage your social media for you. We also manage email campaigns, blogs, content creation, and graphic and web design.
Maybe you're saying, “Hey, I got this, I want to do it on my own. I just need a little help." Well guess what? We've got more videos just like this. It's on our resources and videos page and they're starring yours truly! I am also available to teach social media management one-on-one or for your team.
